Pangyrik is a bold autobiography by the author and film director Guy Debord. An autobiography in two parts: the first part is a text based on fragments and quotes, full of literary precision and pastiche; the second part is a montage of photographs told in sequences. Panegyrik is an unpersonal autobiography, tongue in cheek, where the personal story is replaced by a character and is a strategic and demonic attempt to break free of alienation of the society of the spectatcular.
