Edy Poppy (b. 1975) grew up on a farm in Bø in Telemark. In 2005 she debuted with the novel Anatomi. Monotoni., which has been translated into German, Italian, Finnish, Polish and English. In 2011 she published the short story collection Sammen.Brudd., for which the opening short story Dungeness was selected by the American publishing house Dalkey Archive Press, and was published in the anthology Best European Fiction 2015.
