In China depression is becoming a common problem, about 1/10 of Chinese people having or had a depression problem, which is about 9 million to 13 million people, in which 1/7 people died from suicide. Most of the people in China consider depression is having a bad mood instead of mental disease. People do not feel comfortable to talk about mental health in public and feel shame to seek professional help. In some small cities, people will even be looked down by claiming their depression problems.
My goal is to use data and transfer them into visual appealing information and help people (depressed or not) to have a healthier understanding about depression.
