This issue presents artists who work in different genres but were given the same assignment to respond to. As part of this challenge, the contributors received a selection of visual elements and the heading Body Brain Body-B-B-B.

Wetten (Norge) For a dialogue with the artworks, we invited professor Morten L. Kringelbach to give us a scientific take on the challenge presented. Morten L. Kringelbach is Professor of Neuroscience at Aarhus University in Denmark and a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, and also the a boardmember of the worlds first Empathy Museum. His book Pleasures of the Brain was part of the inspiration for the theme of this issue of Spesial Nord. We are therefore very pleased to present his text “The Pleasure Center – Trust Your Animal Instincts” as part of B-B-B, Body Brain Body.
In B-B-B, Body Brain Body the artworks are presented as posters, and it was launched at Kunstnernes Hus, with a stunning performance by Synnøve Sizou G. Wetten.
