ANSTEN PRESS is a newly-established, independent art book publisher, specialising in high-quality art books, museum catalogues and illustrated books. All publications will be printed and bound locally, by printers and craft specialists. The publishing practice was founded in 2020 by Nina Ansten. She has many years’ experience in art education, design, editorial work and communication services for the art field.
CECILIE M. BARSTAD is the author and illustrator of the book REAR WINDOW. She is half of the French-Norwegian illustration duo Gilles & Cecilie Studio. She works in, among other media, wall painting, environmental design, textile print, as well as illustrations for books and magazines. Cecilie and Nina both studied at Central St. Martins University of the Arts London, where their friendship and working relationship began. They share a passion for art and the crafts of bookmaking.
