STANDARD (BOOKS) published its first book in 2012 and was established as a separate company in 2018. Seeking to produce, publish and distribute its own artist books. Located in Oslo, STANDARD (BOOKS) is a part of the gallery STANDARD (OSLO).

While the focus mainly has been artists represented by STANDARD (OSLO), STANDARD (BOOKS) aims to look further for its future publications. Alongside its own publications, STANDARD (BOOKS) also offers editions and multiples, as well as additional artist books and publications, published by other galleries, museums and artists.
